Health-Centered Dentistry

Dr. Reece focuses on Health-Centered Dentistry, which is a whole-body approach to dental care. In her experience, Dr. Reece has seen how poor growth and development during infant and childhood years can affect people’s oral health as well as their whole body health into their adult years. With this knowledge and her years of learning through continued education and experience, she is better equipped to help treat and direct her patients’ oral health to improve their whole body health.

Dr. Reece collaborates with many like-minded providers in the dental and medical community to give patients resources and help patients get the care they need to promote whole-body health.

Dr. Reece is an enthusiastic learner and has completed countless hours of continuing education in growth and development, occlusion, full mouth equilibration and rehabilitation, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and infant tethered oral tissues (tongue-tie) and their effects on growth, feeding, and speech.

INNOVATIONS IN DENTISTRY

Dr. Reece is also committed to being at the forefront of offering advanced dentistry services. She strives to find long-term solutions, combining revolutionary non-invasive technology–innovations in dental care–that can offer her pediatric and adult patients alternative treatment options that are minimally invasive. Ultimately, her goal is to restore her patients’ oral health with as little disruption as possible to where they are symptom-free and enjoying life again.

In that regard, Dr. Reece offers Advanced Dentistry Services, including

  • Infant Frenectomy
    • Lip-Tie Release
    • Tongue-Tie Release
  • Anesthesia-Free Dentistry
  • Advanced 3D Imaging

Lip-Tie Release

Dr. Reece has extensive experience performing lip-tie release surgery. Lip-tie is a condition present at birth where an usually tight or thick labial frenulum keeps the upper lip tethered to the gum line, restricting the movement of the upper lip. For some infants, lip-tie interferes with breastfeeding, as it is harder for the baby to flange the upper lip.

Tongue-Tie Release

Dr. Reece has extensive experience performing tongue-tie release surgery. Tongue-tie, or ankyloglossia, is a condition present at birth that restricts the tongue’s range of motion. At birth, the lingual frenulum is unusually short, thick, or tight binding the bottom of the tongue’s tip to the floor of the mouth. For some infants, tongue-tie interferes with breastfeeding. If left untreated, tongue-tie can affect the way a developing child eats, speaks, and swallows.

Our advanced 3D imaging takes a panoramic view of your mouth. This level of detail helps us improve our diagnostic accuracy which means you receive the best possible dental care. Three-dimensional (3D) cone-beam imaging or cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient. This advanced 3D imaging system is used to produce 3D images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone in the craniofacial region in a single scan.
