Dr. Reece has extensive experience performing lip-tie release surgery. Lip-tie is a condition present at birth where an usually tight or thick labial frenulum keeps the upper lip tethered to the gum line, restricting the movement of the upper lip. For some infants, lip-tie interferes with breastfeeding, as it is harder for the baby to flange the upper lip.
Dr. Reece has extensive experience performing tongue-tie release surgery. Tongue-tie, or ankyloglossia, is a condition present at birth that restricts the tongue’s range of motion. At birth, the lingual frenulum is unusually short, thick, or tight binding the bottom of the tongue’s tip to the floor of the mouth. For some infants, tongue-tie interferes with breastfeeding. If left untreated, tongue-tie can affect the way a developing child eats, speaks, and swallows.
Dr. Reece offers the opportunity of an anesthesia-free, anxiety-free experience with the Solea dental laser. Virtually free of the needle and the sound of the drill, treatment can be completed quickly and easily and allow you to get back to your day.
Advanced 3D Imaging
Our advanced 3D imaging takes a panoramic view of your mouth. This level of detail helps us improve our diagnostic accuracy which means you receive the best possible dental care. Three-dimensional (3D) cone-beam imaging or cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient. This advanced 3D imaging system is used to produce 3D images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone in the craniofacial region in a single scan.
Images obtained with cone- beam CT allow for more precise treatment planning.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery FAQs
Minimally invasive surgery allows our physicians to use specific surgical techniques that limit the size and number of incisions that need to be made during a surgical procedure. As a result, they can perform surgery without cutting into a lot of skin and muscle, as is done with open gynecologic surgery. Less trauma to the muscles results in less pain, less blood loss, and quicker recovery times.
Minimally invasive surgical approaches can be faster, safer, and require less recovery time. Other potential benefits include
- Better cosmetic results from smaller skin incisions
- Less blood loss from surgery.
- Reduced risk of muscle damage due to reduced trauma to the muscles and soft tissues.
- Reduced risk of infection and postoperative pain.
- Faster recovery from surgery and less rehabilitation required.
- Diminished reliance on pain medications after surgery.
Depending on the baseline health of the patient, many minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries can be done on an outpatient basis.
Typically, patients who undergo minimally invasive gynecologic surgery can return to normal activities within a few weeks. Oftentimes, patients can begin their physical therapy and recovery program sooner than patients who have had open gynecologic surgery, because their pain is less severe. Patients who have conventional (open) gynecologic surgery, typically, have a 6 week recovery period.
